Haida 95mm Solar Filter

This 95mm NanoPro Solar Neutral Density Filter from Haida is a 20-stop neutral density filter designed to make solar eclipse photography safe. It has a filter factor of 1,000,000 and darkens the entire image area while shooting still or video images. It can also be used as a general application neutral density filter, providing finer control over shutter speed and apertures. Using a longer shutter speed makes it possible to increase blur to convey a sense of movement, or to dial in a video camera frame rate. Increased density also makes it possible to shoot using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background and increasing bokeh.

This filter is made of K9 optical glass, and features a Nano coating for optimal light transmission. The coating is also oil- and scratch-resistant, making it suitable for use in harsh environments, and easy to clean. The filter ring is made of aerospace-grade aluminum, and has a slim design to prevent vignetting.

This filter is designed specifically for photography applications. This filter is not suitable for direct solar viewing with the naked eye, including with optical viewfinders.
