While the V1mid brings the round-head design to a smaller footprint, it does have a slightly lower maximum power output compared to the full-sized V1 or the heavy-duty V100. It is designed for agility and close-to-mid-range portraiture rather than overpowering the midday sun from a distance.

Additionally, due to its compact chassis, its active heat dissipation is not quite as robust as the V1Pro. If you are shooting rapid-fire, high-intensity continuous bursts at full power (such as a fast-paced red carpet), the thermal protection system will automatically extend the recycle time to protect the flash tube from overheating.
